Why Hiring a Licensed Landscaper is the Best Option for Your Landscape Needs

When it comes to landscaping, there are three main options: doing it yourself, hiring someone, or hiring a licensed professional. While DIY might seem like a cost-effective option, it’s not always the best choice. Landscape work requires knowledge and experience that most people don’t have, not to mention the time commitment. Additionally, there are rules and regulations that must be followed to ensure your landscape is safe and sustainable. For example, the Bradford Pear tree was once a popular choice for landscapes due to its beautiful shape. However, over time, the tree’s limbs become susceptible to breakage in even mild winds, causing damage to your property or even injuring people. Additionally, the tree has a cross-pollination problem with other pear trees, which can interfere with fruit production and harm other plants in the area. This is just one example of the importance of choosing the right plants for your landscape. Choosing a licensed landscaper ensures that you get the best possible outcome for your landscape. A licensed professional has the knowledge, experience, and training necessary to create a beautiful, sustainable landscape that meets your needs. At WNC Landscaping, we have over 50 years of experience in the industry, with over 75 years of combined experience in landscaping, two bachelor’s degrees in landscape design, NC licensed landscapers, and certifications in irrigation, pesticides, and installation.

Charles Boyd

Our owner, Charles Boyd, has a 20-acre nursery of indigenous plants grown on our farm, and holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Agriculture and Landscape Design from North Carolina State University. He also has over 30 years of experience teaching agriculture and horticulture, and serves as an elected member of the Haywood Soil & Water Conservation Board. Brian Boyd, Charles’ son, holds a degree in Horticulture from NC State, and is one of the only certified irrigation specialists in North Carolina.  Choosing a licensed landscaper also means that you have added protection for your property. Our team understands the ins and outs of municipal water systems and on-site well-users, ensuring that we won’t accidentally damage any water lines or create other large problems. When you hire an unlicensed worker, you risk costly mistakes that could be avoided by choosing a licensed professional. Finally, hiring a licensed landscaper is a good investment in your property. A professional-looking landscape adds value to your home, and the benefits of a sustainable, beautiful outdoor space are priceless. At WNC Landscaping, we pride ourselves on providing our clients with exceptional service and creating landscapes that exceed their expectations. When it comes to your landscaping needs, don’t settle for less than the best. Choose a licensed professional for the best possible outcome. For more information, check out these related articles:
