Landscaping & Maintenance Crew Member
You can start above $15.00 per hour if you bring prior landscaping experience, a valid driver’s license, or Spanish language skills. You are paid weekly. Holiday pay and paid time off are included.
About the role
Crew member responsibilities include, but are not limited to, planting flowers, shrubs, and trees, weed eating, edging, mowing, pruning, weed control, leaf removal, fertilizer applications, and cleaning up outdoor spaces. Ideal candidates are self-driven, disciplined, and focused, with experience in general manual labor, landscaping, or a related field. You will need the physical stamina to work outdoors in a range of weather conditions.
What we do
You would be working across the full range of what this company builds and maintains:
- Landscape design and installation for homes and businesses across Western North Carolina
- Hardscaping: patios, walkways, retaining walls, and boulder walls
- Custom waterfalls, ponds, and water features
- Irrigation design and installation
- Drainage and erosion control
- Year-round maintenance for residential and commercial properties
The crew we are growing
Right now we are especially looking to add to our landscaping and maintenance work, which covers:
- Mowing, edging, trimming, weeding, pruning, and mulching
- Installing and maintaining sod, plants, drainage, and irrigation
- Keeping properties clean, healthy, and looking their best
- Staying ahead of seasonal needs and holding a high standard of finish
What the job asks of you
- Lift 50 lbs and keep a steady pace outdoors year-round, including in summer heat
- Follow all company safety policies
- Show up in uniform with the proper safety gear
- Help load materials and equipment and leave the shop on time each morning
- Maintain and improve landscapes through mowing, mulching, trimming, planting, and sod installation
- Pitch in on hardscape and softscape installs such as stone, brick, irrigation, and drainage as needed
- Keep trucks and equipment clean and presentable
- Take care of tools and equipment and report any problems early
- Assist coworkers with the routine maintenance of properties
- Assist with daily preparations for truck and equipment setup
- Have reliable transportation to get yourself to the shop each morning
- Interact professionally with customers, coworkers, and everyone else on the job
- Work hard, stay productive, and bring a positive attitude
Who we are looking for
People who take pride in the finished job, like being outdoors, and want to get better at this work over time. Experience helps, but it is not required. If you show up, work hard, and care how it looks when you leave, we will teach you the rest.

Where this job can go. You would be learning from an NC State horticulturist and a certified irrigation specialist, on real jobs, not in a classroom. Crew members here have room to grow into irrigation, hardscaping, and design work.
